As well as Hackney Wicked, there is an annual Hackney Wick festival. Public Works (art/architecture collective) did a small project at one of the first ones in 2008, http://www.publicworksgroup.net/wickcuriosityshop
Further into the public works group site is a link through to the Wick Curiosity Shop. Well well well worth a look; its full of all sorts of stories and ‘stuff’ (curiosities even?) on the area, the olympic site etc. Excellent!
